As long as you are staying anywhere in or near the South Lake Tahoe area, you’ll be fine – especially if you have the use of a car. The area, including places such as Zephyr Cove and “Stateline” (the Nevada-California border runs right through town) is not overly large. There are other areas, such as North Lake Tahoe or Carson City, that are about a 30-minute drive from South Lake Tahoe and also wouldn’t be too difficult to get to and from, but for the closest, most convenient area for the wedding and activities, South Lake Tahoe is your best bet.
